While searching for some websites that allow sharing and downloading softwares, I came across source forge (www.sourceforge.net). It seemed quite ordinary and nothing was different. But when I penetrated deep into it, I found that their software reserve was massive. All the softwares were open source (free of cost & free to distribute) and my favourite thing, NO MEMBERSHIP WAS REQUIRED. A person just needed to click on the software to download and the download began automatically, JUST A ONE CLICK DOWNLOAD. There were a number of categories to choose from like audio/video, communications, graphics, games and many more. Certain softwares were so useful that they just caught me and I couldn’t stop myself from downloading them. Surely, a software from every category lay there. The attractiveness of the website lay in its simplicity; it was so simple to scroll through and download anything present there. Apart from downloading, a feature to share open source softwares was also present and, obviously, for that membership was required (which was completely free). This is a very good and useful feature for those who have created some good software and want to promote it.
I am sure that anyone who visits that website will find some thing or the other interesting and useful and open source too. So it’s a must visit…
