The word ghost refers to the soul of a dead person, a disembodied spirit imagined, usually as a vague, shadowy or evanescent form, as wandering among or haunting living persons. Actually in layman’s language bad spirits are usually known as ghosts. Many cases tell us about these ghosts and convey to us that these ghosts really exist.
Around the world, there are, not all, but many people who believe in ghosts and have narrated many incidents to prove their words. For example, the Gatehouse Ghost by Stephen Wagner ( http://paranormal.about.com/od/trueghoststories/a/aa050508.htm) or Anjali’s encounter with a burnt child ( http://www.yourghoststories.com/real-ghost-story.php?story=7256) or the most famous THE BROWN LADY who was first seen by Captain Provand in the late afternoon of 19th September, 1936. There are many other ghost stories too which prove about the existence of Ghost.
But there is something which keeps haunting me too. “Why haven’t I seen a ghost yet ?” or “Why do these Ghosts appear only at night or the dark and lonely places ?” or ” Why do these ghosts are never seen when there are a number of people present at a haunted place ? “. There are many such questions which keep dancing in my head whenever I think about ghosts. You will notice in each spooky story these ghosts appear only in the night or a very lonely place. Whenever people see ghosts, some words will always be present in their narration such as “It was a very dark night” or “No one except me was present there” or something like ” No one except me could see it”. Why do only these people see the ghosts and only under such circumstances. Why cant it be that these people see the ghosts in parties or markets?
According to my view, all these ghosts are nothing just optical illusion. I will believe in these ghosts only when I come across a ghost at 12 noon with around 10 people present with me. That is the only case which will convince me that ghosts really do exist. If a ghost wants to kill me or scare me, it can do this anytime and anywhere. So why a dark place in the night?
And for all those who really believe in GHOSTS, just keep one thing in your mind–” How can a person, who is dead, can harm you? If you are really scared, just be scared of the living and not the dead.”
